January felt like a curse. Or maybe it was just me. The first month of 2025 didn’t go as smoothly as I’d hoped, but I still made the best of it and powered through the endless days. Work was full of setbacks, and I made my fair share of mistakes, but looking back, it ended up being a pretty solid start to the year.
One of my resolutions for the new year was to read more consistently, especially during my commute, and finally tackle the books that have been gathering dust on my TBR for way too long! So lets look at my reading wrap up.
I read three books last month. To me, that is pretty good! January is always a busy month, but I managed to find time every day to read a few pages. To be fair, I didn't tackle my TBR as much as I should have done. Instead, I added two new books to my collection. Who can say no to two new sapphic romance books, though?
Firstly I read Lover Birds, you can check out the review on my blog. Then I read This Feast of a life. I bought it without knowing what it is about. Luckily, I absolutely adored the story and characters and it turned into my highlight so far. Lastly, I read a book that I bought at least two years ago, so I can cross one book off my TBR reading list. I enjoyed some parts of the book, especially because it is set in Walthamstow, a city I used to live nearby for 4 years. However, I didn't like the characters, and the ending of the book was very disappointing!
